The 2024 HPC Thanksgiving Tournament was a showcase of talent, grit, and determination, featuring four incredible teams: Camden, Andrew Jackson, Great Falls, and Indian Land. Over the course of the tournament, each team brought energy and passion to the court, making for an unforgettable competition.
Indian Land emerged victorious, capping off their championship run with a hard-fought 53-45 win over Andrew Jackson in the final game. It was a true team effort, with standout performances from The Court Connections’ own Brent Michael Terrell, who earned a well-deserved spot on the All-Tournament Team, and Mike Jones, the team’s leader and this year’s Player to Watch, who was named Tournament MVP after an impressive 20-point performance in the championship game.
The victory was even sweeter with the addition of sophmore guard, Sequel Patterson, who joined the team after wrapping up a stellar football season. Patterson’s transition to the hardwood was seamless, providing the team with fresh energy and depth at critical times
This win is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the Indian Land team, as well as the coaching staff’s ability to bring out the best in their players. Competing against strong programs like Camden, Andrew Jackson, and Great Falls only highlights the magnitude of this accomplishment.
Indian Land now turns its focus to the rest of the season, building on this momentum to continue their journey to greatness.
Stay tuned for more updates from The Court Connections, and don’t miss a single moment as this team continues to shine!
