Indian Land’s varsity boys’ basketball team continues to prove why they’re ranked #7 in South Carolina, with an emphatic 52-36 win over rival Catawba Ridge on Friday night. The White Out crowd brought the energy, and the Warriors delivered with a performance that solidifies their dominance this season.
This win improves Indian Land’s impressive record to 15-1 overall and 3-0 in region play, further showcasing their ability to compete at a high level.
Leading the charge for the Warriors was Sequel Patterson, who put on a stellar performance with 17 points and 5 steals, setting the tone on both ends of the floor. Mike Jones added 12 points, continuing his consistent play, while freshman standout Donovin Jones contributed a strong 11 points, proving he’s a rising star to watch.
Defensively, the Warriors kept Catawba Ridge in check all night, forcing turnovers and dominating the boards. Their defensive pressure and offensive execution were key in this rivalry game, leaving no doubt about their top-10 ranking in the state.
