On Senior Night, the Indian Land Warriors continued their dominant season, defeating Clover High School to improve to an impressive 22-2 overall and 9-1 in region play.
The game didn’t start off as expected for the Warriors, as early shots refused to fall. The offense struggled to find its rhythm, but championship-caliber teams always find a way to win. The Warriors turned to their defense, showcasing elite on-ball pressure and cohesive team defense to wear down the Clover Eagles.
Sequel Patterson led the way offensively with a game-high 15 points, while Mike Jones added 14 points and 4 steals, igniting key moments that helped swing the game in the Warriors’ favor.
The night was made even more special as we celebrated our four outstanding seniors:
Kellen Hickman, Kevin Drakeford, Chandler Jones, and Yukota Simpson. Thank you for your hard work, leadership, and commitment to the program. You’ve left an incredible legacy at Indian Land High School, and we can’t wait to see what’s next for you. Congratulations, guys!
With the regular season nearing its conclusion, all eyes are on the final stretch. Next up: a showdown with rival Fort Mill on Tuesday. These two powerhouse teams will battle for the top spot in the region, as both have secured the #1 and #2 positions.
It’s all on the line now, and the Warriors are ready to rise to the occasion. Join us at Fort Mill on Tuesday to support the team and be part of what promises to be an electric atmosphere.
See you there! Let’s finish this strong!
